Last weekend Eric and I got to do a family photo shoot. We had such a great time! We were so happy that we got to spend the afternoon with such a wonderful family! Here’s some of my favs from the session.

Rachel’s Senior Picture Shoot

Although we didn’t have the best weather during Rachel’s shoot, we had a blast. It was insanely windy that evening, which made the shoot a little challenging. Despite the weather, we had such a great time getting to know Rachel. She is such a beautiful person inside and out. Hope you have a wonderful Senior year Rachel!!!

Justin and Lauren are married!!!!

Justin and Lauren had an awesome ceremony outside at Mill Creek Barn in Watervliet, Michigan. It was a beautiful day, but incredibly hot! There may have been a few glitches throughout the day, but you would never know it by looking at Lauren and Justin. They always just looked so happy. We had such a good time shooting their wedding!! Congrats guys! Hope you have a blast in the Dominican Republic!

Matt and Valerie are married!!!!

Matt and Valerie had the awesome idea to go and get married in Jamaica. What a great idea! I love it! Eric and I shot Matt and Val’s wedding reception when they got back from Jamaica on the Fourth of July weekend. They are such a crazy and fun-loving couple! I knew it was going to be a great time when Val started climbing up in the window in her wedding dress to get some crazy shots. Eric had the same feeling with the guys when the Groom’s Mom started dancing in the front yard. Their beautiful reception was held at Cityscape Events in Kalamazoo, MI. This was one of the most fun weddings we have ever shot!

March Madness!!!!!

It’s finally March! Yay!!!! Can you tell it’s one of my absolute favorite months of the year??? Allow me to point out why March is so awesome….

1) March Madness – Need I say more? Now, I’m a Michigan State Alum so I’m a die-hard Spartan fan. I love Izzo! So, yeah I love watching the tournament. Just in case you love State too….here’s out schedule!

Go Green! Go White!

2) Shamrock Shakes at McDonald’s – One word: Yum! Get them while you can because they will run out some time around the middle of the month. Let me tell you from experience that it’s not fun scouring all the McD’s in the area once they start running out.

3) St. Patrick’s Day – It’s a fun holiday and you don’t have to spend tons on presents. Plus, green beer is fun for the first drink or so then it gets a little weird, but that’s ok.

4) Spring is almost here!!! I can’t wait! I may live in Michigan, but I really don’t like winter especially since I once read a statistic that said that we only have 11 days on average of sunshine in the winter. Bring on the sun!!!!

So, March come in like a lion or come in like a lamb…I don’t care! I love you no matter what!!!

The most perfect gift

Let me start off by saying that my husband is amazing. I know, I know…I’m biased. He is very talented though.

Something that you should know about me is that I’m extremely sappy, a true romantic at heart. So, my favorite presents for birthdays or Christmas or even Valentine’s Day are nothing that you can buy in a store. My most favorite gifts are when he makes me videos. This is what he does for a living, so he has lots of practice at it.

For our anniversary last year, he made up a wedding video and a music video. He has made them from pretty much every vacation we have taken. I just love them. Someday I’ll show them to our children and say, “See how young and in love we were….oh wait we still are.” I wish I could see videos like this of my parents, but video cameras were crazy expensive back then. Well, now I’m just rambling….so without further ado…here is my Valentine’s Day present from this year!
